One Year Anniversary of the Genesis Block

Today marks exactly one year since the EarthBucks blockchain launched with the mining of the genesis block. It’s been an incredible journey, and I want to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and share some exciting news about the future.

One Year of Growth

In the past year, the EarthBucks network has grown significantly:

• Over 47,000 blocks have been mined
• More than 4.7 million EarthBucks (EBX) have been distributed to users
• A dedicated community of miners has consistently supported the network

This milestone represents real progress toward building a practical cryptocurrency for small casual transactions and AI applications.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has mined EarthBucks and supported the ecosystem over this past year. Your participation has been essential to getting EarthBucks off the ground. Whether you mined the first blocks, stuck with us through the early technical challenges, or joined more recently, you’ve all contributed to making EarthBucks a reality.

Introducing KeyPears

I’m excited to share that I’ve been actively developing a new project called KeyPears, which will play a crucial role in the future of EarthBucks.

KeyPears is a decentralized Diffie-Hellman key exchange system that will provide three main features:

• Password Manager - Securely store and manage passwords
• Secret Messaging - End-to-end encrypted communication
• Cryptocurrency Wallet - Support for EarthBucks and other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin Cash

The Future: KeyPears as an EarthBucks Wallet

Implementing the KeyPears EarthBucks wallet will be a huge milestone for the EarthBucks ecosystem. Once complete, the future of EarthBucks mining will actually be done through the KeyPears client.

KeyPears is being designed as a decentralized network that will allow nodes to participate in EarthBucks mining. This architecture will provide a more robust and user-friendly way to interact with the EarthBucks network.

Looking Ahead

EarthBucks will continue to be a part-time project for me for the foreseeable future. Progress may be gradual, but it will be steady. The integration of KeyPears represents a significant step forward in making EarthBucks more accessible and practical for everyday use.
