Terms of Service for EarthBucks

About these terms

EarthBucks is created, operated, and owned by Astrohacker Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”). These terms cover your use of the EarthBucks website, hosted wallet and mining pool. Please read them before using the service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

EarthBucks is experimental software. Using it involves risks to your keys, access and EBX. In particular, holding a private key does not override an output’s recovery or expiration conditions. Read the sections below before receiving, holding or mining EBX.

Our planned AI agent management platform is not part of the services covered by these terms. Descriptions of planned features are not a promise that those features are available.

Your account and wallet keys

Protect your private keys, password and the devices you use to access EarthBucks. Do not give them to someone you do not intend to authorize. Never include private keys or passwords in a support request.

The wallet signs transactions in your browser and stores keys in browser storage. That local copy is not encrypted by the application with your account password. Someone with access to your browser or device could obtain the keys and use them to sign transactions.

Keep a secure backup before logging out, clearing browser storage or changing devices. Losing the keys and any usable backup can prevent you from accessing your wallet. If you use password sign-in, the encrypted key backup held by the service is separate from the keys stored in your browser. Access through that backup depends on both your credentials and the hosted service.

Password sign-in, private-key backups and the blockchain’s timed recovery rules are different mechanisms. Do not assume that support can reset a lost key, return a payment or restore access to EBX.

Transactions and network rules

Check the recipient and amount before signing a payment. A submitted transaction is not necessarily a confirmed transaction. Rejection, conflicting transactions, interruptions and changes in the accepted chain can affect its status. Do not rely on being able to cancel or reverse a submitted payment.

The website and mining pool provide access to EarthBucks, but their account records are not themselves the blockchain’s transaction-validation rules. An output is an amount of EBX with conditions that must be met to spend it. The applicable network version and output conditions determine which spends are valid. Descriptions of one version or output type should not be treated as rules for every EarthBucks client or generation.

EBX, recovery and expiration

EarthBucks’ token is called EBX. Holding EBX is subject to the spending conditions of its outputs; it is not an unconditional promise that only your key can spend them forever.

Recovery-capable outputs allow additional spending paths as they age. For those outputs, a designated recovery key can become able to spend them, and expiration can enable spending without the original owner’s signature. Keeping your key secret does not prevent those paths from becoming available. Expiration describes a change in spending conditions, not a guarantee that the coins are destroyed or returned to you.

These conditions use elapsed blocks rather than a guaranteed number of calendar days. A reference to days is not a deadline measured by a clock. Do not assume that every output has the same conditions or that the service will automatically renew, recover or return your outputs for you.

Mining and pool payments

The EarthBucks mining pool records submitted work and uses eligible work to calculate pool payments. Running a miner or submitting work does not guarantee a payment. Work must satisfy the applicable validation rules, and calculated payments are distinct from confirmed payments.

Pool reward allocation is separate from the blockchain’s issuance of new EBX. The amount available to participants is not necessarily the entire amount minted in a block. Pool allocation, eligible work and rounding affect individual payments. Special initial distributions are distinct from ordinary share-based payments.

Mining uses computing resources and electricity. Interruptions, rejected work and changes in difficulty can affect results. We do not promise a particular mining return or that rewards will cover your costs.

Content, privacy and other services

You retain your rights in content you submit. You must have the rights needed to submit it. You give us permission to store, process, resize and display that content as needed to operate the service and make it available to its intended recipients. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us or give us a general right to use it to train AI models.

Consider what you publish. Public blockchain records and copies held by other people are separate from content hosted by EarthBucks. Removing hosted content cannot erase those independent copies.

The Privacy Policy describes information handled by the service, including key storage, payment records and messages. It does not change an output’s spending conditions.

When you choose to use an independent service linked from EarthBucks, review that service’s terms. Those terms govern your relationship with that provider; they do not replace these terms for our own service.

Acceptable use and usernames

Do not use EarthBucks to:

• Steal keys or assets, phish, impersonate others or distribute malware.
• Deliberately submit fraudulent work or attempt to defraud others through conflicting transactions.
• Attack the service, disrupt other users or deliberately evade access controls.
• Post spam, threaten or harass people, or submit content that infringes someone else’s rights.

A rejected transaction or invalid mining submission does not, by itself, establish deliberate abuse. Criticism or disagreement with the Company is not by itself a violation of these rules.

Choose a username that does not impersonate another person or business or infringe their rights. We may restrict or change a username to address such a violation. A username change is not a transfer of ownership of anyone’s EBX. Contact us if you believe a username violates your rights.

Restrictions and ending use

We may restrict access to address violations of these rules or a security threat. Restrictions can affect your ability to sign in, view hosted records or use the hosted wallet and key pages. Keep backups independently of access to the website. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Restricting an account does not, by itself, grant the Company ownership of its EBX. Output recovery and expiration conditions are separate from account restrictions. This section does not create a right to confiscate assets or cancel an otherwise owed payment as a penalty.

You can stop using the service. Logging out ends the current session and removes wallet credentials from that browser; it does not delete your account or server-held records. Stopping use does not stop the blockchain or suspend an output’s recovery or expiration conditions.

Experimental software and responsibility

Software faults, compromised keys, network interruptions and output spending conditions can lead to lost access or lost EBX. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free software, a particular EBX value or a particular mining result. Consider these risks before deciding how much to hold or spend.

These limits on what we promise are not a blanket exclusion of responsibility for our own conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. A warning about experimental software does not remove those rights.

Changes to these terms

We announce material changes to these terms in posts on the EarthBucks blog, which are also available through the blog RSS feed.

A revision to this document does not itself change blockchain validation rules, undo a confirmed transaction or establish that you accepted new terms.
