The EarthBucks Blockchain has Launched

Today I’m happy to announce that the EarthBucks blockchain has launched. You can mine with your smart phone, laptop, or desktop on the mine page.

EarthBucks is a long way from finished. I have not finished implementing the wallet or the peer-to-peer network, much less all the apps I want to create. However, the blockchain itself seems to be working with no errors, so now is as good a time as any to launch.

The genesis block has been mined by @shongololo. Congratulations!

As promised, everyone who mined at least one block during the testnet phase has been given a proportional share of the genesis block. If you mined during testnet, you should find that you already have some EBX.

It’s possible there are errors with the blockchain. I will do everything I can to fix errors as we go. In a worse case scenario, it’s possible I may need to rewind the blockchain, or even start over. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but you have been warned: this is brand new beta software, and there may be issues, even fatal issues.
