Yesterday, I launched the EarthBucks blockchain. You can now mine EarthBucks on your consumer device by visiting the mine page. Be sure to confirm you have WebGL enabled in your browser for faster mining.
The top request so far is automatic swiping. Right now, the only way to mine is by swiping a button by hand over and over. This gets tiring quickly. I plan to add an automatic swiping feature. However, I can’t give a time estimate for when that will be ready.
For now, please appreciate that hand-mining is actually the best way to start, because it gives all early enthusiasts an opportunity to get a significant amount of EarthBucks without having a giant cluster of GPUs. As soon as I enable automatic swiping, the difficulty will increase, and it will be harder to mine.
There is no wallet yet, and no way to send EarthBucks. I am working on a wallet and plan to launch that as quickly as possible.
I am also adding a feature for identity verification. I don’t plan to discourage bots from using EarthBucks. Instead, I plan to encourage real people to use EarthBucks by providing the option to verify your identity. The full verification option will include government ID and will be very difficult for bots to game (and against the terms of service). Users who fully verify will get a 10x advantage in mining for one GPU.
There is also no alternate mine. Right now, the only place to mine is earthbucks.com. After automatic swiping is implemented, and the wallet is launched, and the identity verification feature is working, I plan to launch an alternate mine. The first alternate mines will be Compucha and NinjaButton.
I can’t promise a timeline for any of the new features or products. However, I am working on this project full-time and intend to launch them as soon as they are ready.
